The Poznan University of Technology at the International Trade Fair for Environmental Protection POLECO

The​​ 3W idea launched by Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego is a response to the most significant contemporary challenges faced by the world: climate change, energy transformation, and availability of drinking water.

Through its activities, it builds bridges that connect various environments - science, business, and administration - to strengthen the competitiveness of Polish enterprises and support more effective use of strategic resources of the future: water, hydrogen and coal.

The 3W idea supports inspires and educates in the spirit of the idea of ​​sustainable development. The International Trade Fair for Environmental Protection POLECO is a meeting place for representatives of legislative institutions, local governments, and representatives of the world of business, science and education directly related to the climate and environmental protection industry, municipal economy and sustainable development.

The 3W initiative appreciates the role of scientists in creating the latest technologies and struggles to improve the commercialization process of innovative solutions in the field of water, hydrogen and coal. For this reason, the 3W Interdisciplinary Innovation Center was established.

The agreement on its establishment, apart from the president of BGK, Beata Daszyńska-Muzyczka, was signed by representatives of eleven universities, including leading technical universities, and a representative of the Łukasiewicz Research Network. The universities include Poznan University of Technology (coordinator), Krakow University of Technology, Warsaw University of Technology, Koszalin University of Technology, Rzeszow University of Technology, Opole University of Technology, AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin, the University of Zielona Góra and the West Pomeranian University of Technology. The Poznan University of Technology, as a modern technical university, focuses on future solutions. The use of hydrogen is undoubtedly one of them - said, prof. Teofil Jesionowski, rector of the Poznan University of Technology.
