On August 10th, 2013 the Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda, prof. Anastase SHYAKA visited the university. 

During the meeting, the most key milestonea of cooperation were discussed, including: 

• substantive support in the field of strengthening scientific and didactic competences at selected Rwandan universities using the potential of the Conference of Rectors of Polish Technical Universities (KRPUT) and the Poznan University of Technology, 
• academic exchange, 
• increase in internationalization (platform of the European University EUNICE), 
• preparation of doctoral studies offer (Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of PUT). 

In addition, steps were taken to prepare study visits by representatives of the authorities of the Republic of Rwanda and the university.
